Paragon Vision Sciences Appoints Dr. Goretty Alonso-Amigo to Assistant Director of Materials Develop
Paragon Vision Sciences (Mesa, Arizona, USA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Goretty Alonso-Amigo to Assistant Director of Materials Development. In a steadfast effort to continue the Company's relentless focus on expanding their worldwide product line of premium contact lens materials, Dr. Alonso-Amigo will play a key role in the research and development of new and innovative polymer options for all applications, including Paragon CRT.
Alonso-Amigo began her career in the contact lens industry nearly two decades ago where she served as Manager of Analytical Chemistry at Pilkington Barnes-Hind. Alonso-Amigo worked for ACLARA Bioscienes as a Research and Development Manager, followed by leading the U.S. Operations of JENOPTIK Mikrotechnik. Since that time, Alonso-Amigo founded her consulting company, Arlanzon Technologies, and taught polymer chemistry, general chemistry and analytical chemistry at San Jose State University. Alonso-Amigo received her MBA from the prestigious Pepperdine University, her PhD in Polymer Physical Chemistry and MS in Science and Economic Development from University of Detroit-Merci, and a BS in Chemistry from University of Valladolid, Spain.
