B&L’s CEO Resigns
William Carpenter, who had been Bausch & Lomb’s (B&L) chief executive officer since January 1997, resigned, effective immediately, for personal reasons, according to a company statement. B&L appointed William Waltrip its CEO while it conducts an external search for a successor. Waltrip has been on the company’s board of directors since 1985, and has previously served as Chairman and interim CEO.
