Announcement of the VDCO Peter-Abel-Award

Contact optics and optometry is in the focus for the award ceremony.

The Association of German Contact Lens Specialists and Optometrists (VDCO) is awarding the Peter-Abel-Award for scientific work for the 24th time.
The prize is awarded for innovative and outstanding work in the field of contact optics, eye physiology and optometry. The work should be characterized by topicality, scientific investigation and research.
The Peter-Abel-Award is sponsored by VDCO and includes a € 2,000.00 sum.
The award ceremony will take place on the VDCO annual congress VDCO'20 as part of SICHT.KONTAKTE2020. Former award winners include Dr. Andreas Berke, Prof. Dr. Lyndon Jones and Prof. Nathan Efron.
Interested applicants can submit their completed PhD thesis or an equivalent publication in a peer-reviewed journal until August 12, 2020 . An international, independent and scientific jury will evaluate all submitted works.
Your work should be submitted in Adobe PDF file format and can be written in German or English. You will be invited to SICHT.KONTAKTE2020 in Berlin and may present your results in a 10-minute lecture during VDCO´20. In addition, the award-winning work will be published in the specialist magazine “die Kontaktlinse”.
