11th Assottica Congress I LaC YOU

Record-setting attendance at this year’s edition of the biennial Assottica Congress, titled “I LaC YOU Value-Growth-Innovation”, followed by the Workshop session. This edition saw the launching on the Italian market of the  “Simulation Toolkit for Customer Loyalty in Contact Lens Practice”, developed by Euromcontact and presented by its President Helmer Schweizer. It is a toolkit which allows eye care practitioners to simulate various scenarios and assess how to improve the sales results and the profitability of their practices by simply implementing certain strategies.
Another important launching was made at this edition of the Congress, i.e. the launching of a new educational campaign titled “Lenti a contatto: dai libertà alla tua vi(S)ta” (“Contact lenses: give freedom to your sight and life”) involving eye care practitioners from all over Italy. The new campaign was introduced by Nicoletta Losi, President of Assottica Gruppo Contattologia, to an audience in excess of 700, announcing the development of 3 viral cartoons featuring Contact Hero, the mascot of this initiative, which is soon to be viewed on www.assottica.it.
Highly appreciated was also the section featuring the news from the companies that are members of Assottica and have supported the event: Alcon, Bausch+Lomb, CooperVision and Johnson&Johnson Vision Care.
“In the light of what we have heard from all the presentations we can say that “I Lac YOU” is not simply a declaration of intents but the positive outcome of determination and concurrent actions” – concluded Nicoletta Losi – “Being able to provide our patients with a service which meets their needs in time now more than ever requires multiple diversified skills.
